OPENING THEMATIC EXHIBITION

“FROM THANG LONG TO PHU XUAN, GIA DINH”

On the occasion 60th Anniversary of the founding of the three cities of Ha Noi - Hue - Saigon (October 8th, 1960 - October 8th, 2020), the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City coordinates with the Thang Long Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Center and the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien Hue organize a thematic exhibition: "From Thang Long to Phu Xuan, Gia Dinh". The exhibition displays 80 typical antiques with nearly 200 pictures, documents and maps, which are precious historical source stored at the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City, Thang Long Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Center and the Thua Thien Hue History Museum. The content on display includes 4 parts:

1. Thang Long Capital City and Hoang Thanh Thang Long Central Area - Ha Noi (X-XVII century).

2. From Thuan Hoa - Phu Xuan - Hue more than 700 years.

3. Sai Gon - Gia Dinh from the XVII to the XIX century.

4. Hanoi - Hue - Sai Gon is the tree from one root and the child from one home.

From Thang Long - Phu Xuan - Gia Dinh to Ha Noi - Hue - Sai Gon (Ho Chi Minh City), historically, they have become three cultural centers that represent the vitality of the root, of independent will, national unification; of national solidarity. The three localities representing the North - Central - South regions held the friendship ceremony on October 8th, 1960, at the Ba Dinh Ha Noi Club, marking a new milestone in the spirit of solidarity. Ha Noi - Hue - Sai Gon is the tree from one root and the child from one home; at the same time is a powerful testament to historical necessity, becoming truth: "Vietnam is the one, the people of Vietnam are one".

·         The display is opened from October 7th, 2020 to October 31st, 2020.

·         At: Thua Thien Hue History Museum.

(No. 01, August 23 Street, Thuan Thanh Ward, Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province).
