The exhibition of “Cuba – Far but close” was jointly organized by the Cuban Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association, Service of Foreign Affairs and Service of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the successful Revolution in Cuba, 56 years of Moncada army camp attack, aiming to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba. The exhibition took place at the Gallery and Exhibition of the City (92 Le Thanh Ton, 1st District) of the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City from July 24, 2009 to August 4, 2009.
With 100 photos recorded by the journalists of Vietnam News Agency as Pham Tien Dung (Deputy Editor in charge of Vietnam Pictorial), Le Duy Truyen (Editorial Director of News Report, ex-correspondent of Vietnam News Agency residing in Cuba), Tran Quang Minh (reporter of Vietnam Pictorial), “Cuba – Far but close” introduced vividly the life, the country and the people of Cuba.
