In order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Saigon – Gia Dinh City named after Ho Chi Minh City and continue to carry out summer service activities in 2016, the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City organizes thematic activity  ” Learn the art of lion dance in Cho Lon” . The event was lively with performances by Hang Anh Duong lion and dragon group and the participation of youth union members and children from District 2, District 3, District 4, District 6. , Thu Duc District and Guru English School.

The strong but equally flexible image of the unicorn – an animal in the four spirits of Dragon – Lan – Quy – Phung is clearly shown through the illustrative performances:  Lion moves, Lan walks on stilts, Tu Quy Lan, Lan went to Mai Hoa Thung  by the actors of the dragon lion troupe Hang Anh Duong combined with the introductions of the elite artisan Luong Tan Hang brought to the public an overview of the art of lion dance. and lion dance performances. Through thematic activities, the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City not only wants to introduce to the people of the city the diversity in the cultural and spiritual life of the Southern people. It is hoped that it will contribute to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values ​​of the nation.
