On June 7, 2017, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum held a thematic activity “Learning about Southern Khmer music” with the participation of students from Saigon University, the University of Ho Chi Minh City and youth union members from District 3, District 4. The presentation by Doctor, Musician Son Ngoc Hoang – Vice Principal of Soc Trang Intermediate School of Culture and Arts with Illustrated performances by artists from the Khmer Art Troupe under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Soc Trang province helped students and youth union members understand more about Southern Khmer music.
The topic “Learning about Khmer music in the South” organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Museum not only contributes to preserving traditional art forms but also promotes the cultural values of the nation.
