On the occasion of International Museum Day on May 18, 2014, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum organized to receive the artifacts of patriotic intellectual Nguyen Thong presented by the City Heritage Association.
These are precious artifacts related to the life and career of poet, writer, patriotic social activist Nguyen Thong which were preserved by his family and presented to the City Heritage Association not long ago.
Artifacts include:
+ Ordaining King Tu Duc to Mr. Nguyen Thong with the content of promoting him as “Trung Thuan Dai Phu, Hong Lu Tu Khanh, Khanh Hoa Dien agricultural deputy ambassador”. Sac was issued on the 16th day of the first month of the 35th year of Tu Duc (1882).
+ 01 set of books “Croaking Du Sao” (3 volumes) by Nguyen Thong carved in May of the year of the Horse of the Tu Duc Dynasty (1882). The book is published by Quang Nam Thanh brand, and the copyright is kept by Dong Chau shop. The book set includes 106 poems composed by Nguyen Thong, of which: Book 1 has 32 poems, Book 2 has 35 poems, Book 3 has 39 poems.
+ 01 book “Great Red Map” (Development of the map) by Han Du Tam at Sinh Hoa Street, Cho Lon.
+ 01 book “Ma Thi Van Thong” (Literature of the Ma family).
+ 01 Will of Mrs. Ngo Thi Thuy Huong (Nguyen Thong’s wife) dividing the property among the children. The will was made on November 16, the 11th year of Thanh Thai (1899).
