On September 28, 2015, at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, the handover ceremony and opening ceremony of the exhibition: “Collection of artifacts of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long” took place. according to the working program between leaders of Hanoi City and leaders of Ho Chi Minh City. This is a meaningful activity to help the Party and people of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the southern provinces in general understand more deeply the enduring historical and cultural values of the nation and of Thang Long. – Hanoi and Imperial Citadel of Thang Long. At the same time, it shows the strong and lasting affection between the two cities and the deep sense of importance in preserving, preserving and promoting the cultural and historical identity of the nation. This is also a follow-up activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and reunification of the country; practically welcome the 16th Congress of the Party Committee of Hanoi and the 10th Congress of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City,
Attending the ceremony were the presence of Comrade Pham Quang Nghi, Politburo member of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee; Mr. Le Thanh Hai, Politburo member of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; representatives of the Central Propaganda Department; comrades in the City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; representative of the National Council of Cultural Heritage; representative of the Vietnam Historical Science Association; representative of the Academy of Social Sciences; representatives of the Heritage Department – Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and a large number of departments, branches, unions, and students in Ho Chi Minh City.
With 638 artifacts and more than 100 images, maps, drawings, documentaries, the display: “Collection of artifacts of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long” has introduced to visitors the rich history of Thang Long – Ha The interior spans 13 centuries through 3 main themes:
Topic 1 : A brief overview of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long – Hanoi and the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long;
Topic 2 : Building materials Imperial Citadel of Thang Long;
Theme 3 : Pottery activities in the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long.
After the handover ceremony and opening of the exhibition, Mr. Pham Quang Nghi, Politburo member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee emphasized: “With affection and respect. and most dearly, the Party Committee and People of Hanoi Capital presented the Party Committee and People of Ho Chi Minh City with a collection of artifacts from the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long. Wishing the Party Committee and People of Ho Chi Minh City more achievements on the path of renewal and development.”
