On July 31, 2015, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum held a thematic activity “Learning the art of puppetry”. The thematic activity with the aim of educating the young generation’s sense of responsibility for preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the nation attracted the participation of 150 children and members of the community. 15 wards in district 10.
During the symposium, Master – Director Hoang Duan, who has many years of research and attachment to puppetry, introduced the diversity of terrestrial puppetry such as hand puppetry, stick puppetry. , dwarf puppetry… The interpretations of puppetry genres by speaker Hoang Duan combined with highly educational illustrations from talented artists in the puppet troupe of Phuong Nam Art Theater gives children new knowledge about an art form that is both entertaining and imbued with the nation’s folklore.
The symposium took place in an exciting atmosphere with the participation of children, artists of Phuong Nam Art Theater and Master – Director Hoang Duan, all of which contributed to affirming the value of of a unique art form of Vietnam that needs to be promoted more in the future.
