On July 9, 2016, at the ceremony to honor “Vietnam’s leading tourism enterprise in 2016”, Ho Chi Minh City Museum was awarded the “Top tourist attraction in Vietnam 2016” award. voted by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Vietnam Tourism Association. This is the only and most prestigious annual award of Vietnam’s tourism industry to award excellent units that have affirmed the quality and efficiency of tourism business in 2015.

At the ceremony, top titles were honored in 9 areas of tourism industry. Accordingly, in the field of hotel, the top 10 5-star hotels have been selected; Top 10 4-star hotels and top 10 3-star hotels in Vietnam. Regarding travel, the Organizing Committee has honored the top 10 domestic travel businesses in Vietnam, the top 10 international travel businesses bringing tourists abroad in Vietnam; 10 international travel businesses bring foreign tourists into Vietnam.

The organizers awarded the title to the top 10 restaurants serving tourists in Vietnam; 5 shopping establishments serving Vietnamese tourists, 5 leading tourist transport businesses in Vietnam; Top 5 tourist attractions in Vietnam; Top 5 tourist resorts in Vietnam and top 10 golf courses in Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City Museum and Zoo and Botanical Garden are two units of Ho Chi Minh City that have been honored in the category of “Vietnam’s top tourist attractions in 2016”.
